Introduction

Creating my E-portfolio was an exercise in merging creativity with intentionality. Thirteen projects—from a mental health PSA to a Starbucks Reserve visual essay—demanded a structure that balanced vibrancy with professionalism.

What I Did:

I defined my visual identity as authentic, which I curated every element to reflect my creative energy while maintaining credibility. First, I mapped out each project’s placement with frames, then built deeper responsive pages. With 13 projects to showcase, organization was key. I grouped work into clear categories: Videos (PSA, mini-doc), Written Narratives (Blogs), and I prioritized visual projects on the homepage to hook viewers.

For color, I blended warm oranges/yellows with cool blues/purples to balance energy and professionalism. Projects like my mental health PSA used purple (symbolizing calm) to align with its message, while the Mini Documentary used coral-burgundy for softness and gratitude, and the Starbucks Reserve Visual Essay leaned into earthy greens for sophistication. Typography paired bold-but-approachable Libre Baskerville headlines with Trirong body text for readability.

Revisions were relentless. I re-edited videos to eliminate jump cuts, redesigned the Visual Essay as a scroll-friendly gallery, and embedded blogs to prioritize engagement. Every design choice—like using solid backgrounds for complex projects or dynamic patterns for text-heavy pages—was intentional to guide focus without overwhelming viewers.

What I Learned

This project taught me the power of cohesive visual identity: how color psychology guides emotion; how typography establishes hierarchy; and how multimedia integration holds attention. I honed technical skills in video editing, content management, and responsive layout design, and learned to anticipate user needs through iterative testing and revision.

How I’ll Use This

As I pursue advertising roles—whether at agencies or in‑house brands—I’ll apply these strategies to craft engaging campaigns: selecting balanced color schemes, maintaining consistent typography, and iterating based on client and audience feedback. I’ll leverage analytics and storytelling to drive brand engagement and deliver measurable results.

Final Thoughts

Building this e‑portfolio reinforced that design is an ongoing dialogue between form and function. These experiences will anchor my creative approach as I help brands tell their stories authentically and effectively.
